You Got the Juice! You have have it takes!!!

Let's face it!  Sometimes the hardest part is GETTING STARTED!!!  Just as soon as we are about to take that first step, we often count ourselves out before we even get started. Or better yet, something pops up and the next thing you know, you've put your goal aside until the next day (or week)!

Here's the good news.  Everyday is another opportunity to work on our goals.  Setting goals that are within reach helps prevent the feeling of failure.  If you haven't exercised in a year, is it really reasonable to say you're going to run 10 miles a day for the next five days?  No, but you can start with walking half a mile or so at least two to three days a week.  Then you can work your way up.  No matter what your goal is, just take a step forward.  Small steps add up, believe me!

The Power of Positive Thinking

The Power of Positive Thinking

Are you contagious?  No, really.  Is your mindset worth catching?  Some of us know of at least one person who is constantly looking for a reason to complain, a reason to criticize, or a reason to find something that just isn’t right!   In today’s society, it’s easy to find the negative of a situation, whether on television, social media and unfortunately on our own doorstep.  The longer you live, it is likely you will have to deal with undesirable circumstances. It is how you transform your thinking by having a positive mindset that makes the difference.  Your outlook on life is shaped by your mindset.  Our bodies are wired to be in direct alignment with our minds.  The war is won on the battlefield of your mind.   Let’s not forget, life is about growth and evolution.  You will dissolve if you don’t evolve.  Say goodbye to the old and hello to the new! A new way of seeing yourself day in and day out.  A new way of embracing the divine being you are.  A new way of surrounding yourself with positive and uplifting people who will encourage you and push you to be your BEST self.  Do YOURSELF a favor and free yourself of toxic thoughts! Free yourself of the pessimists and doubters.  You have absolutely no room in your life for anything less than the best! Your best life is yet to come!  All you have to do is put your mind to it!

Jumpstart the New Year to a Healthier You!

The start of a new year brings forth aspirations and a determination to improve one’s life.  As soon as the clock strikes midnight, for many Americans with an increased desire to make personal improvements, we instantly turn over a new leaf.  Resolutions are made and goals are established yet by February, an estimated 80% of resolutions have fallen by the wayside! Even fewer actually reach their goal and break old habits.  Yikes! Many of these resolutions are health related such as eating healthier, exercising more or improving sleeping habits just name a few.  I assure you there is good news!  As long as you are taking the steps to improve yourself and earnestly striving to not stay in the same place you were, you are making progress!  Regardless of our individual goals, many of us need motivation to keep pushing forward.  Here are a few tips to start this year off right!

 1) Renew your thinking!  Change first begins in your mind.  Clear the head chatter UNLESS it’s positive of course!  One way to counter the negativity is to speak life, to speak positivity and to speak encouraging and uplifting words over yourself.  Make up in your mind that you have the determination to reach your goals and nothing can stand in the way of you accomplishing them.

 2) Plan your work & work your plan!  Set your goals, prioritize your daily tasks to accomplish them, and commit to the process.  Set goals you feel are attainable and write them down.  Most people are successful when they plan their work.   It’s one thing to have your goals and ideas of how to get there in your mind, but putting it on paper brings a whole new meaning.  You have to stare at it and hold yourself accountable.  It’s there to remind you of what you want to accomplish.  Consistency is key and patience is a virtue!

 3) Evaluate your evolution and celebrate your wins!  It’s important to do self-check-ins.  This will help you determine where you are with your health goals and it allows you to make the necessary changes.  Think about how you’ve evolved during your process and celebrate your victories along the way!

Cheers to a great year ahead and to you reaching your health and wellness goals!
